The Last Question by Isaac Asimov

blitzorgtfo:

If you’re in the mood for something different, The Last Question is a fantastic short story about entropy and the universe. Even if you’re not into chem/ physics/ science it’s still a good read. Oh and the ending is slightly mind blowing.

"Extra-Terrestrial Relays: Can Rocket Station Give World-wide Radio Coverage?"

An essay written by Arthur C. Clarke, one of the “Big-Three” of Science Fiction.

It was written 12 years before the first artificial satellite - the Sputnik - was launched in 1957, anyway this genius already foresaw the coming of communications satellites in synchronous orbit around the Earth

A good read, not too scientific also for someone curious about the matter.

Addio, papà dei robot

- Isaac Asimov - da Grande come l’universo, Saggi sulla scienza (via mopos)
